The official check-in time at W Taipei is at 3:00pm. If you wish to check-in earlier, you can notify the hotel via reservations.taipei@whotels.com prior to your arrival and they will try their best to get a room ready for your arrival. In my case, I was able to check-in when I arrived at 11:30am. This is however subject to room availability. In case early check-in is not possible, you can have your luggage stored with the concierge while you hang-out at the Living Room.
Elite Member Benefit: Late Check-out
Marriott Bonvoy Elite Members who are flying out of Taipei in a late afternoon flight can take advantage of their Late Check-out benefit. Make sure to request for your late check-out upon checking-in. At the moment, this benefit is only guaranteed for Platinum Elite members and above.

► W TAIPEI: LOCATION & TRANSPORTATION
International travelers will most likely arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). W Taipei is located some 51km away from the airport. The hotel is located in Taipei's Xinyi District and is directly connected with the Taipei City Hall Bus Station and the Taipei City Hall MRT Station.
Airport Transfer
- Guests can take the Airport Shuttle Bus from the airport that goes straight to Taipei City Hall Bus Station. From the Airport Arrival area, head to the Airport Shuttle Bus ticketing office and look for CitiAir Bus ticket booth. Purchase your ticket bound for Taipei City Hall Bus Station. W Taipei is connected to Taipei City Hall Bus Station via the Uni-President Hankyu Department Store.
- An alternative way to get to the hotel from the airport is by taking the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). From the airport, take the Taoyuan International Airport MRT (Express Train Service) and alight at the Taipei Main Station. From there, transfer to the Taipei Metro and take the Blue Line (BL12) and alight at the Taipei City Hall MRT Station (BL18). Take Exit 2 and go straight into the Uni-President Hankyu Department Store. Take the mall's escalator from B2 to the ground floor. Walk through the perfume section and just follow the signage going to W Taipei.
Moving Around
- The best way to move around the city is by taking the Taipei Metro, especially for longer distances. For shorter distances, taking a Taxi may be a more efficient alternative. When traveling as a group of 2-3 persons, taking a taxi will be more convenient.

From W Taipei, the most accessible night markets are the Raohe Street Night Market and the Linjiang Street Night Market. From the hotel, you can just take a taxi (NT$100-NT$120 per way) to get to the night market. If you don't speak Chinese, you can have one of the concierge tell the driver where to bring you. Don't forget to grab a Chinese business card from the hotel so you can hand it to the taxi driver going back to the hotel.
