Shangri-La Hotel Singapore guests who booked a room rate inclusive of breakfast will enjoy buffet breakfast for two persons at The Line, the all-day dining restaurant located at the lower lobby of the hotel's Tower Wing. Walk-in guests are also welcome to dine during breakfast buffet.
The Line serves a wide selection of local and international cuisines including Singaporean, Chinese, Malay, Indian, Japanese, Korean, American and Italian dishes prepared in its live cooking stations. Guests can begin their breakfast with the buffet's extensive selection of breads, pastries, viennoiseries, charcuteries and premium cheeses. There's also a pancake and waffles station.
The fruit station features a variety of seasonal fruits such as watermelon, honeydew, dragon fruit and pineapple, as well as freshly pressed fruit juices. The salad station serves the freshest mesclun greens and other vegetables which you can pair with some of the pre-mixed salad dressings.
The noodles station features Chinese and Singaporean noodle dishes while the dimsum station serves some of the well loved steamed dumplings such as siumai, hargaw and steamed buns. There's also a congee station with extensive choices of toppings. Hot dishes include cuisines from India, Malaysia, China and Singapore.
The egg station is one of the busiest spots in the buffet. Here you can have your scrambled, sunny side, poached or hardboild eggs made a la minute. You can also have an omelet customized. There's also a carving station where you can find some of the all-time favorite Western breakfast items such as hams, bacon, sausages as well as potato wedges and hash browns.
And whenever I am in Singapore, I always make sure that I try the Nasi Lemak and the Laksa served in the buffet. I had my Nasi Lemak customized to include siumai which I love combining with sambal. I also had a small serving of mee goreng on the side.
The laksa served at The Line was very rich in prawn flavor, thick and creamy and has a medium level of spiciness, just that I like it. I had my laksa with fishcakes, squidballs and shrimps. Completing my Singaporean inspired breakfast is a serving of freshly-made teh tarik.
Breakfast Buffet at The Line is served daily from 6:00am to 10:30am (until 11:00am on weekends and public holidays). Checked-in guests dining for breakfast can bring up to two (2) children aged below six (6) years old. Children under the age of 12 years old receive a 50% discount.
