Guests staying at Kerry Hotel Hong Kong enjoy their complimentary buffet breakfast at Big Bay Café. This includes guests who booked a room package inclusive of breakfast, as well as Golden Circle Jade members who enjoy complimentary breakfast as part of their member benefits.
In-house guests staying in a Club Room or Suite, as well as Golden Circle Diamond members staying at the hotel, also have the option to enjoy the buffet breakfast at the restaurant. Walk-in guests are also welcome to dine at Big Bay Café.
The restaurant has a total of seven food stations (called pavilions) each specializing in a certain style of cooking. Among the seven, the Steam Pavilion is the most popular among the guests. This pavilion serves some of the Hong Kong favorites such as dim sum and noodle soup dishes.
There's also the Stew Pavilion and the Fry Pavilion where most of the Asian dishes can be found. There's a variety of fried rice, fried noodles, sauteed meats, and vegetables. There's also curry and other Asian stewed dishes.
The Grill Pavilion is where most of the Western dishes are located. Dishes such as hams, sausages, bacon, and hash brown are here. There are also grilled items such as grilled salmon, chicken satay and grilled sausages.
There's also an egg station where you can have eggs cooked to your preference. They can also make customized omelets. The Dessert Lab Pavilion is where you can find sweet items such as pastries, viennoiserie, pancakes, and waffles.
The Nook Pavilion is a corner where you can find the cereals and freshly baked bread. There's also an oven where you can heat your bread. Beside it is a variety of jams including fresh honey.
The Chill Pavilion is another popular spot for guests. One section has the charcuterie and the fromagerie, the yogurt and dairy products, the fresh garden salad station, the Japanese station, and the fresh fruit station where you can have freshly made juices prepared.
Above is the Singaporean Laksa I had from the Steam Pavilion. It was hot and spicy which was perfect for the cool weather of Hong Kong. I also made my favorite Cesar Salad with capers and topped with smoked salmon.
Here is my plate of Hong Kong classic dishes including siumai (steamed pork dumpling), hargow (steamed shrimp dumpling), zongzi (rice dumpling), and stir-fried egg noodles.
Below is a plate combining Asian and Western dishes, including fried rice, fried egg, steamed vegetable, crispy bacon, hang brown, grilled sausage, and Japanese-style grilled salmon. And finally, I ended my breakfast with a bowl of fresh fruits and a glass of chilled orange juice.
