Pre-Pandemic Feature
The Breakfast Buffet at Shangri-La Hotel Guilin is served daily from 06:00am to 10:00am at Li Café, the all-day dining restaurant of the hotel. Guests who booked a breakfast-inclusive room rate can enjoy the daily breakfast buffet at the restaurant during their stay (up to two registered adult guests per room).
Guests with access to the Horizon Club Lounge (guests staying in Horizon Club Rooms or Suites) may also choose to have the breakfast buffet at Li Café. Golden Circle Jade and Diamond members can also enjoy their complimentary breakfast benefit here at Li Café.
Food stations include appetizers, bread and pastries, Japanese, Indian, Asian, Western, salads, and desserts. Guests can also order a la minute dishes from the egg station and noodle station. There is also a dedicated station for Guilin Rice Noodles.
The Western Station offers sausages, bacon, potato wedges, and other American and European breakfast items. There's also a pastry station serving a variety of viennoiseries such as croissants and Danish pastries.
The Asian Station features mostly Chinese dishes. I had congee, stir-fried noodles, dumplings, stewed tofu, and steamed seasonal vegetables. Free-flowing coffee, tea, and fruit juices are included in the breakfast buffet.
Li Café also serves the famous Guilin Rice Noodles (桂林米粉). Guests can customize their Guilin Rice Noodles with a variety of condiments available at the station. I highly recommend the original version. Don't forget to top your noodles with peanuts and pickled cowpeas.
