The Deluxe Room measures 36 square meters and is the only guestroom category of Shangri-a Hotel Wuhan. The room is designed with the signature Shangri-La elegance characterized by wall-to-wall carpet, dark wood furnishings, a chandelier, and accent pieces that reflect the local culture. The feature wall showcases the beautiful cherry blossoms found in many parks in Wuhan during springtime.
If you have stayed in a Shangri-La before, you will immediately feel at home as soon as you enter your Deluxe Room at Shangri-La Hotel Wuhan. Golden Circle members will have a platter of fruits as part of their welcome amenities. Jade members can choose up to three welcome amenities while Diamond members experience the highest level of welcome experience with a bottle of red or white wine as part of their welcome amenities.
The room has a typical Shangri-La Deluxe Room layout which is furnished with a king bed or twin beds, an executive writing desk, a swivel chair, two bedside tables, plush sofa chairs and a coffee table. There's also an LCD television with local and international satellite channels.
The highlight of the room is definitely the bed. The well-balanced firmness and softness of the mattress and the topper, as well as the high thread-count of the sheets are the biggest factors that contributes to the excellent sleep quality. Guests staying in a Deluxe Room will enjoy scenic views of the central financial district of Wuhan.
WiFi internet is available inside the room and in all common areas of the hotel, so you can keep connected should you need to work or keep you social media networks updated. An electronic safe is found inside the closet, as well as two pairs of bedroom slippers and bath robes. An iron and ironing board are also provided inside the closet so you can always be at your best during business meetings or social events.
There's a minibar stocked with canned soda, beer and fruit juices. There are also liquor and snacks available inside the minibar drawer. Not that additional charges apply for items consumed from the minibar. Complimentary Zesta teabags and Douwe Egberts coffee are provided daily.
Complimentary bottled water is provided everyday. Extra bottles of water are available by just calling guest services through the in-room telephone. You can heat water for your tea or coffee using the electronic kettle stored inside the minibar drawer. Light switches are conveniently located next to bed. You can also request for a wake-up call from the front office.
The in-room bathroom is lined with marbles and granite. All Deluxe Rooms are fitted with separate bathtub and wak-in shower. There is a single basin with a spacious counter-top. Bottled water is also provided inside the bathroom.
Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay and water temperature was very easy to set. Signature Shangri-La Crispy Mint toiletries are provided including bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap. Two sets of toothbrush and toothpaste are placed at the wash area. The towels smell clean and fresh.
The Deluxe Room is perfect for leisure travelers who are looking a luxurious accommodation where they can completely relax after a day of exploring the cultural and culinary wonders of Wuhan. The Deluxe Room is also perfect for business travelers who require a comfortable work space and reliable connectivity inside their accommodation.
