Sabor Bar de Vinos is the newly opened wine bar of Novotel Manila Araneta Center serving premium wines, innovative cocktails and signature tapas. What used to be an open space next to the hotel's all-day dining restaurant was creatively converted into a tavern inspired drinking place.
The place is filled with the bold colors of red and black, reminiscent of the outfit worn by flamenco dancers, thus giving it an unmistakable Spanish character. The bar also uses a lot of wood. Most noticeable are the wine barrels which have been repurposed as cocktail tables.
Guests can choose from the many seating areas that suit any preference. A long wooden table is perfect for a group of eight amigos while several cocktail tables can accommodate up to four caballeros. Chicos and chicas who wish to mingle can stay at the long bar tables.
There is also an al fresco area with more long bar tables and cocktail tables to choose from. On the far end of the al fresco area is the bar's iconic wall art of a flamenco dancer drinking wine. Setting up the mood is a playlist of music featuring the latest tracks from some of the famous Latino artists including Enrique Iglecias, Maluma and Luis Fonsi.
I love Sangria and here at Sabor Bar de Vinos, they serve three different versions of this classic punch drink from Spain. Of course, I tried all three. I first tried the Sangria Blanca. By the name and color of it, this is a light version of sangria. It has a light and refreshing fruity flavor with very little bitterness from the wine.

The next one I tried was the Sangria de Rosa. Fruity and sweet with hints of cherry and orange. Don't let the taste fool you. Two glasses of this drink can easily merry you up. For those who like their drinks sweet, this is recommended for you.

Finally, the third and last variant I tried was the Fortress Sangria. A sangria with a lot of character, thanks to the multitude of flavors, spices and aromatics added in the drink. Muy forte, strong in taste and strong in alcohol, just the way I like my sangria.

Sangria lovers like me should definitely visit Sabor Bar de Vinos from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and avail of their Unlimited Wine or Sangria for as low as PHP 700.00 nett per person. Choices include:
