Gin Fest | Unlimited Gin & Tonic at Bar Rouge

This whole month of August, guests at Bar Rouge (New World Makati Hotel) can enjoy unlimited servings of their favorite gin & tonic with the Gin Fest promotion. For as low as PHP488++ per person, guests can choose from more than 20 different gin brands, mixers and garnish. This offer is available from Monday to Saturday, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.



Guests can among three different gin packages, ranging from PHP488++ to PHP988++ per person. The higher the gin package you avail, the more the gin brand selection you have. Bar Rouge's award-winning bartenders will make sure that your choice of gin brand goes with the best mixer and garnish. If you have your preferred pairing, they will be happy to create your gin & tonic the way you want it.

Happy Hour at Bar Rouge also falls on the same schedule as Gin Fest, so if wish to order other cocktails and spirits from the menu, you can do so and enjoy them at half (50% off) the price. We recommend Smokey Aru-Gin, a gin-based cocktail created by Bar Rouge's very own mixologist Dexter Poquita which won the World Gin Day 2018 award.



Your night of drinking will not be complete without barchow. According to Mr. Miguel Melo, New World Makati Hotel's Executive Assistant Manager for F&B, unlike wine, beer and other liquor, gin goes well with any tapas or savory dish. You can simply pair it with anything.



To test this, we ordered a platter or nachos which is normally paired with tequila-based drink. We also ordered a Swiss cheese platter usually paired with wine. Both really went well with gin & tonic.



I particularly enjoyed the cheese and dried fruits bites with the sweet and fruity flavor of the JJ Whitley Elderflower gin. We also ordered pizza which also went well with gin & tonic.



Two other items we ordered were the Beef Salpicao and burger with fries. Both are popular pairing for beer, and they also went well with gin & tonic as well. We enjoyed these two dishes with Hendricks gin and Nordes gin.



If you want your Gin Fest experience to be extra special, you have to come on a Wednesday for the Contempo Night. It is an evening of underground vinyl music featuring an eclectic mix of city pop, indie pop, synthpop, Balearic, boogie, disco and deep house. Contempo Night is presented by Groove Nation.
