The Guest Room is the lead-in room category of Hilton Manila. Measuring 40 square meters, it is one of the most spacious lead-in hotel rooms in Metro Manila of the same category. With more living space at a similar price point, the Guest Room at Hilton Manila offers great value for both business and leisure travelers.
I love the blue & tortilla brown color theme of the room, but what I love the most is the unique metal frame partition panels which visually defines the seating area as a separate space within the guestroom. Combined with the generous space of the room, the metal frame partitions make the room feel like a junior suite more than just a guest room.
The room we stayed in was furnished with a king bed. Guests also have an option to choose a guest room with two double beds configuration. Light switches and power outlets are conveniently located right above the bedside tables. The seating area features as sofa and a marble-top coffee table. The sofa is crowned by an artwork by French-Filipino designer Olivia d'Aboville.
The seating area also features a spacious work desk paired with an ergonomic chair. With the international travelers in mind, all power outlets are fitted with universal power sockets and USB power ports. The work desk can also function as a dining table. All rooms at Hilton Manila is equipped with a 55-inch HDTV with local and international cable channels, including premium HD channels.
I also like it that the coffee and tea making facility is placed on the working desk. I think this this makes it very convenient to prepare a hot drink while working. It is also worth mentioning that Hilton Manila provides complimentary drinking water in glass bottles in all of its rooms. Guests are provided with complimentary premium tea-bags from Dilmah.
All rooms and suites at Hilton Manila are fitted with the signature Hilton Serenity Bed. Similar to my sleep experience at Hilton Kota Kinabalu, Conrad Guangzhou and Conrad Manila, I had a very restful sleep here at Hilton Manila. I woke up the following morning feeling well rested.
The Guest Room at Hilton Manila has an open walk-in closet layout which maximizes the room space. The absence of cabinet doors make the closet feel more spacious and airy. Two sets of bathrobe and bath slippers, as well as an iron and ironing board, are provided to guests. I particularly liked the closet bench which can function as a luggage rack or as a shoe bench.
The bathroom was equally spacious and features a four point bathroom layout which clearly defines the bathtub, the walk-in shower, the water closet and the vanity as four separate areas. In addition to toilet paper, the water closet is also fitted with a toilet bidet. The walk-in shower is fitted with a hand-held and a rainfall shower head.
Water pressure was consistently strong and it only takes a few seconds for hot water to start flowing from the shower and faucet. Great news to guests from North America and Europe, Hilton Manila provides a Hilton Bath Towel in all its rooms and suites, so no need to worry about those Asian size towels. The Verbena & Lavander de Provence by Crabtree & Evelyn is currently the standard bathroom amenity brand in all Hilton Hotels & Resorts properties in Asia Pacific.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this Guest Room (Room 616) at Hilton Manila. My experience is consistent with all my expectations of a Hilton Hotel stay. I personally recommend this room for:
- Business Travelers - You can comfortably work with your laptop on the desk. No need to worry about universal adapters. WiFi signal is strong and connection is fast. In-room safe can fit a laptop. Iron and ironing board are provided so you can always look at your best in every business meeting.
- Leisure Travelers - There's enough storage space in the walk-in closet for your luggage. The open lay-out of the closet also makes it convenient for you to easily grab stuff from your luggage or from the coat hanger rack. Get a restful sleep at the end of each day of adventure around the city.
- Staycations - There is a comfortable sofa at the seating area and the 55-inch HDTV is simply perfect for movie marathons. Gaming consoles can also be connected to the HDTV for the whole family to enjoy. In-room dining service is available 24 hours. Connecting rooms are also available for bigger families or groups of friends.
