The Bay View Diplomatic Suite is the highest one-bedroom suite category of Conrad Manila. The suite occupies a 95 square meter space at the curved corner of the hotel. It has a separate living room and bedroom and features a marble bathroom with a free-standing bathtub. A stay in the Bay View Diplomatic Suite also comes with Executive Lounge access and benefits.
The highlight of the Bay View Diplomatic Suite is the front-row view of the Manila Bay sunset which guests can enjoy from the suite's living room and bedroom. If you have stayed at Conrad Bali's Ocean Suite, you will enjoy a similar view in this Bay View Diplomatic Suite at Conrad Manila.
I originally booked the Diplomatic Suite for this stay. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to the next higher suite category, Bay View Diplomatic Suite (4061), as part of my Hilton Honors Gold status benefits. I wasn't expecting an upgrade anymore since I already booked a suite, so this upgrade is a pleasant surprise!
Guests staying here at Conrad Manila will receive a Carey the Carabao stuffed toy as a part of their welcome amenities. In case you didn't know, the carabao is the national animal of the Philippines. Please note that the stuffed toy will be given during the turndown service and not during check-in.
The Bay View Diplomatic Suite has a modern Filipiniana color palette, taking cues from wood and fabrics made of natural materials. The natural light compliments the earth colors of the interior, making the suite very airy and homey. The choice of furniture and accent pieces gives the interior a contemporary feel.
I absolutely love the work desk. It is well-situated next to the glass window. The ergonomic chair made it very comfortable to work even for extended hours. Desk-level universal power outlets are available so no need to bring a universal power adaptor. The free wifi inside the suite was fairly fast.
The living room is furnished with a two-seater sofa and a lounge chair. The living room is equipped with a 42-inch HD television with local and international cable channels as well as HD quality channels.
The minibar is located in the living room. It is fitted with a sink and a mini-refrigerator fully stocked with bottled and canned juices, soda, ad beer. Wine and spirits are also available.
All rooms and suites here at Conrad Manila are equipped with a Nespresso machine. Complimentary Nespresso coffee pods are provided and replenished daily. Guests are also provided with complimentary Harney & Sons tea bags. Complimentary bottled drinking water is also provided to all guests.
There are two sliding doors that will lead you from the living room to the bedroom. One door is located next to the minibar and another door located next to the work desk. There is another door located behind the minibar and it leads to the bathroom which also connects to the bedroom.
As mentioned earlier, the Bay View Diplomatic Suite is located on the curved corner of the hotel. It is actually the bedroom that stands exactly at the curved corner. The curved side is lined with window walls which gives the room a cruise ship vibe.
Controls to draw the sheer and blackout curtains are located at the bedside desk-level panel. The window-side sofa is the perfect spot to admire Manila Bay, especially during sunset.
The room was well-airconditioned that the indoor temperature can be kept between 18°C and 22°C even during the hottest part of the day. The bedroom is also equipped with its own HD television. During our stay, we brought our Nintendo Switch and connected it to the TV using HDMI cable.
Similar to my stay at Conrad Bali and Conrad Koh Samui, I had an equally comfortable sleep experience here at Conrad Manila. The signature Serenity Bed ensures that you feel well-rested when you wake-up in the morning. Beside the bed are two tables with desk-level universal power outlets.
The en-suite bathroom is connected to the bedroom and features a free-standing bathtub, a separate walk-in shower, and a separate water closet. The bathroom is fitted with double sink vanity installed with a mirror TV.
The bathtub experience is highlighted by the view of Manila Bay. The glass window is lined with sunlight reduction film which blocks the view from outside into the bathroom during daytime. For total privacy, you can draw the roller blinds.
The walk-in shower is fitted with handheld and rainfall showerheads. All guests staying at Conrad Manila are provided with the Mandarin Tea by Shanghai Tang line of bathroom amenities. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, body soap, hand soap, and body lotion.
Connected to the bathroom and to the suite's foyer is the walk-in closet. There are cabinets and closet rods to organize your clothes. There is enough storage space for a two-week-long stay. Iron and ironing board, as well as bathrobes and room slippers, are also stored here in the walk-in closet.
The Bay View Diplomatic Suite is my personal favorite suite here at Conrad Manila. It really is very desirable, even at a premium price. Conrad Manila seldom upgrades Hilton Honors Diamond members to this suite category. If you want this suite category, I recommend that you book this category. It's worth it!
