The Peak is the newest dining concept of Grand Hyatt Manila which houses a grill restaurant, a whiskey bar and a music lounge. Situated on the topmost floors of the tallest building in the Philippines, The Peak also offers the most spectacular 360-degree view of Manila, a must-visit for leisure and business travelers.
From the hotel's ground floor, an express elevator will take guests to the 60th floor where they will be welcomed by The Peak's hosts. Prior reservation is recommended as it can really get full especially during the weekends. Walk-in guests are also welcome but tables can't be guaranteed.
One of the best times to visit The Peak is during sunset. The al fresco area of the Music Lounge has lounge sofas and bar tables where you can relax and enjoy the golden rays of the sun setting behind the Manila Bay horizon.
During our recent stay at Grand Hyatt Manila, we checked-out the happy hour at the Music Lounge. From 5:00pm to 8:00pm, guests can enjoy buy one get one on selected wines, cocktails and Grand Hyatt Manila's signature House Lager.
We had several rounds of Chardonnay which we paired with a board of cheeses and charcuterie. We also tried the Crispy Prawns which we paired with The Peak Sour.
The Music Lounge is also a excellent venue to enjoy your drinks while listening to music. Grand Hyatt Manila invites international bands and DJs to perform live at The Music Lounge. It has cocktail tables, dining tables and a speakeasy bar.
Located on the 62nd floor is the Whisky Bar which serves premium wines and whiskys which took its inspiration from the roof top penthouses of New York. It has an in-door and al fresco lounges as well as a private room for a more exclusive drinking session.
For a full dining experience at The Peak, guests can choose to dine at The Grill which offers international cuisine made of premium meats and seafood. The main dining area is bright and spacious and is inspired by the rattan and bamboo weaving patterns used in making Filipino furniture and baskets.
Travelers visiting Manila should definitely include The Peak in their itinerary. For Filipino who are looking for a place to entertaining their foreign guests or balikbayan relatives, The Peak will not disappoint.
