Conrad Koh Samui is a luxury pool villa resort located on the tropical island of Koh Samui, Thailand. The villas are spread across a 25-hectare property on the southwestern tip of the island. All villas have a private terrace which offers a panoramic view of the Gulf of Thailand.
The one-hour scenic road travel from Koh Samui Airport to Conrad Koh Samui will culminate at the resort's reception pavilion. From here, guests will be welcomed by the spectacular view of the Gulf of Thailand, a preview of what is waiting at their private villas.
As soon as I was seated at the reception, I was welcomed with a cold towel and a refreshing drink. The welcome garland gave the arrival experience an unmistakable touch of Thai hospitality. The check-in process itself was quick without losing the personal touch in the service.
While I was completing my registration, my bags were already loaded in the buggy waiting for me at the driveway. As soon as my keycards were issued, I was assisted to the buggy which will take me to my villa.
Conrad Koh Samui has 81 pool villas available in one, two or three-bedrooms configurations. The villas are free-standing, each enjoying utmost privacy and the individualistic sense of luxury Conrad is known for.
All villas have a private terrace and infinity pool. The villas also feature a spacious marble bathroom with a deep-soaking circular bathtub. The two-bedroom villa has separate dining and living areas.

Accessible from the swimming pool is the resort's private beach. The white sand beach is ideal for sandcastle building and for beach volleyball. On a beautiful day, the water is very calm and clear, and perfect for swimming and kayaking.
Conrad Koh Samui also schedules daily activities in which guests can participate, free of charge. Some of the fun activities include tai chi, yoga, stretching, Thai boxing, aqua aerobics, body toning work out, kite flying and coconut petanque.
► SOUVENIR FROM CONRAD KOH SAMUI
Like any other trip, this one had to come to an end. Upon checking out, I was given a farewell gift of coconut candies and a Conrad Koh Samui turtle stuffed toy. I did not leave the resort heavy-hearted as my heart was filled with happy memories during my stay. The turtle toy also made me feel that I have a piece of Conrad Koh Samui with me. So this is not yet goodbye, only see you again.

- Moving Around - Conrad Koh Samui offers its guests complimentary round trip shuttle bus service to Chaweng Beach or Lamai Beach. The shuttle bus departs from the resort at 11:00am, 2:00pm and 5:00pm. The return trip is scheduled to depart from Chaweng Beach at 12:00nn, 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Just call the concierge to register.
