Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA » Junior Suite
The Junior Suite is the only suite category of Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA. With a total floor area of 58 square meters, the Junior Suite is the most spacious accommodation available at the hotel. It has a separate living area, bedroom, and ensuite bathroom. I stayed in room 828 which is located on the 8th floor.
My first impression of the Junior Suite was that it felt more spacious than its actual floor area. The Junior Suite is a corner unit that gives it twice as many windows as regular guest rooms. This results in more natural light illuminating the interior of the suite.
The living room, though not very spacious, was smartly planned to comfortably fit two sofas that can seat up to four persons. During my stay, I invited some friends whom I haven't seen for years. We had catch-up in the living area for hours. The aircon also did a great job maintaining a cool indoor temperature.
There is also a workstation in the living area. I did some work with my laptop during my stay and I find the chair quite comfortable. There were ample power outlets next to the tabletop and the complimentary WiFi was at a stable speed of 5Mbps.
In addition to the standard electronic kettle and instant coffee and tea bags provided in all rooms at Park Inn North EDSA, the Junior Suite is the only unit in the hotel that has a Nespresso machine. I appreciate that both coffee mugs and espresso cups were also provided.
I personally think that the Junior Suite can very much qualify as a One-Bedroom Suite category not only for its size but also for its layout. You can clearly see that the living room and the bedroom are two separate areas, with a sliding door that can totally enclose the bedroom.
The bedroom is the most spacious area in the Junior Suite. It is furnished with a king bed, two bedside tables, a couch, and an open shelf closet cabinet. The king bed can be split into two single beds. There is also enough space to fit an extra single bed, making the Junior Suite the perfect choice for small families.
The bedroom is equipped with its own 43-inch LED TV with local and international cable channels. The closet has enough space to hang clothes for a week-long stay. There's also an iron and an ironing board should you need to flatten out any unwanted folds in your clothes.
The ensuite bathroom is connected to both the bedroom and the living area. Sliding doors can be locked from inside the bathroom. The Junior Suite is the only room category of the hotel with a bathtub.
The toilet is fitted with a bidet and is enclosed in a separate water closet. The walk-in shower is fitted with handheld and rainfall showerheads. Water pressure was excellently strong and water starts to heat up within a minute or two.
Guests staying in a Junior Suite are provided with body and bath amenities customized for Park Inn by Radisson. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, and hand soap. Vanity kits and dental kits are also provided.
The bedroom is located away from the suite's main door. This ensured that the noise from the corridors will not reach the bedroom. The hotel is also located away from the main road and the glass windows excellently insulated the room from outdoor noise.
The bed is a bit firm to my liking. The pillows were fluffy and comfortable to the neck, but I hope that there were four pillows instead of just two. Overall, I did have a comfortable sleep experience and I did feel well-rested when I woke up in the morning.
