The Corner Suite is the lead-in suite category of Taipei Marriott Hotel. With a total floor area of 65 square meters, the Corner Suite features luxuriously spacious accommodation with separate bedroom and living area. Offering panoramic views of the city and of Taipei 101, the Corner Suite is the ideal choice of accommodation for leisure travelers.
I like the smart layout of the Corner Suite wherein the bathroom is placed in between the living room and the bedroom. The small corridor that connects the three separate rooms serves as the closet area. The bedroom, bathroom and the living room all have their own doors. When receiving visitors inside the suite, guests can close the door to the bedroom for privacy.
Two sliding doors separate the bathroom from the closet area. The luggage rack can fit large-size luggage with a lower compartment where you can store your shoes. There is enough clothes space for a week-long stay. There is an iron and ironing board as well as an in room safe.
The Comfort Suite features a marble bathroom with a separate bathtub and a spacious shower stall. There is also a water closet fitted with a TOTO washlet toilet. There is also a double sink vanity with a double-wide mirror. The marble counter-top provides plenty of space for personal toiletries.
Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay. Hot water is available almost instantaneously in the shower, bathtub, and faucet. The bathroom is also supplied with clean, thick towels. Bathrobes and bedrooms slippers are placed inside the closet cabinet.
Guests staying at Taipei Marriott Hotel are provided with the Aromatic Wood body and bath amenities by Thann. The complete set includes a soap bar, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. The scent is a combination of sandalwood, cedarwood, oranges, bergamot, with hints of nutmeg and clove.
The living room is furnished with sofas that can comfortably seat up to three persons. There's a 50-inch HD LED smart television with local and international channels. Small families or group of friends staying in a Comfort Suite can have an extra bed set up here in the living room
The minibar is also found in the living area. Taipei Marriott Hotel provides drip coffee by Kantata Coffee Co of Taiwan as well as tea bags by TWG. Complimentary bottled water is also provided and replenished daily.
The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed topped with a comfortable mattress and soft linens. The bed topper is on the soft side which made it feel like you are sinking in a cloud. The mattress itself has great body weight support. The pillows were very soft. Using two layers of pillow provides comfort and support to the neck.
Universal power outlets are available on both sides of the bed, making it easy to charge your phone, watch and other devices while sleeping. Switches to the room's lights are also located next to the bed.
The bed stands next to the glass curtain wall. My bedroom faces the east direction overlooking a residential neighborhood with Taipei 101 in the background. This is also the side of the room where you can watch the sunrise.
In front of the bed is a writing desk with a low-back leather swivel chair. Universal power outlets are also available on the wall next to the writing desk. Wireless internet connection is also available inside the suite. The bedroom also has its own 50-inch HD smart television.
Overall, I did enjoy my stay in this Comfort Suite. Having a dedicated writing desk made it easy for me to work with my laptop during my idle time. It is also nice to have a proper sofa when watching news or movies. Most importantly, I felt well-rested every time I wake up in the morning. This made me feel very energized and inspired.
