The Superior Room can accommodate up to two adults and one child. I originally booked a Classic Room and I was upgraded to a Superior Room with King Bed. The King Bed is basically two single beds combined into one bed. I personally find the King Bed too big for one person. The Superior Room is ideal for couples or a small family with one child.

The interior design of the Superior Room is inspired by the Gion District of Kyoto which is popular for its traditional machiya wooden houses, teahouses, temples and shrines. The room features a contemporary classic design that features the use of the local Nishijin fabric.
Inside the room, the window-side seating area is covered with a tatami mat, a common feature among machiya houses, teahouses, and temples in Kyoto. Right next to the seating area is the minibar fully stocked with fruit juices, canned soda, local and international beer, and liquor.
All rooms and suites here at Kyoto Yura Hotel - MGallery are provided with an Illy coffee machine. Complimentary bottled water and coffee capsules are provided and replenished daily. In addition to coffee, complimentary tea bags by Japan-based company Lupicia are also provided.
The room is equipped with a 55-inch LED television with local and international channels. Complimentary wifi internet is available inside the room and in public areas of the hotel. I was able to watch a movie on Netflix while connected to the wifi and I did not encounter issues with the internet speed.
I had one of my best sleep experiences here at Kyoto Yura Hotel - MGallery. The bed was generously covered with a mattress topper which made it very fluffy and comfortable. It was summer when I visited Kyoto and the A/C perfectly kept the room temperature within the comfortable zone of 18ºC-20ºC.
For a room measuring 26 square meters, I was impressed that they were able to fit a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. It is fitted with handheld and rainfall showerheads. Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay. The bathroom also features a toilet fitted with a washlet.
Guests staying at Kyoto Yura Hotel - MGallery are provided with body and bath amenities by Cinq Mondes, a Paris-based producer of spa products and fragrances. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and body lotion under the Rituel de Bahia line of products which feature the revitalizing fragrance of lime, white cedarwood, and coconut water.
