The Fairmont Gold Lounge is open daily from 6:00am to 10:30pm, during which time you and a registered guest staying in your room can enjoy all the facilities and the benefits of the lounge:

- daily breakfast either at the Fairmont Gold Lounge or at Spectrum, the all-day dining restaurant, available from 6:00am to 10:30am (until 11:00am during Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)

- evening canapes and cocktails from 5:00pm to 7:00pm

To ensure that you and other guests have an exceptional experience at the Fairmont Gold Lounge, below are some basic etiquettes to observe:
- observe a business casual dress code, never wear bathrobes, bedroom slippers, swimwear, or gym attire
- do not make video calls, never use your phone's loudspeaker
- never use an e-cigarette
- never let your children run or wander around
- only get food and drinks that you can finish
- food and drinks should be consumed only inside the lounge
As a general rule, bringing in of outside food is not allowed. However, Fairmont Gold Lounge guests can order items from the in-room dining menu and have them served at the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
► EVENING CANAPES & COCKTAILS AT THE FAIRMONT GOLD LOUNGE
The evening canapes and cocktail at the Fairmont Gold Lounge are available daily from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Guests can enjoy a wide selection of cold and hot dishes which they can pair with their favorite drinks. A Fairmont Gold Lounge associate will be on standby to assist you in preparing your drinks.

Fairmont Gold Lounge guests who wish to invite additional guests to the lounge can do so by paying the applicable extra person charge of ₱1,500.00 net per person (13 years old and above). ₱750.00 net is charged for children aged 6 to 12 years old. Please note that children aged 5 years old and below are not allowed inside the lounge during the evening canapes and cocktail service.

Some of the choices for drinks are local and international beer as well as red wine and white wine. There's also rum, whiskey, tequila, gin, and vodka. Non-alcoholic options include canned soda, chilled juices, coffee, and tea.
Here is my plate of cheeses and cold cuts which I paired with fresh garden salad and Chardonnay. For my second plate, I got chili garlic prawns which I paired with greens salad topped with fresh parmesan.
Below were some of the hot dishes we tried that night. I particularly loved the crispy pork belly which I paired with Rum & Coke. I also enjoyed the Potato Croquettes. The Margherita Pizza went well with beer.
As mentioned earlier, you can also order dishes from the in-room dining menu and have it served at the Fairmont Gold Lounge. This is perfect for those who do not wish to go out of the hotel anymore for dinner. This is also a great idea because you can take advantage of the free-flowing drinks served at the lounge.
We ended our evening with a platter of fresh fruits and assorted cakes for dessert. We paired the fruits with chilled orange juice, and we ordered a cappuccino to go with the cakes.
Overall, I find the canapes and drinks selection fairly sufficient for an evening happy hour. Guests with small appetite will definitely find the hot dishes filling and will suffice as light dinner. For those who wish to order from the in-room dining menu, the canapes and drinks selection will perfectly complement your dinner.
► SEMI-BUFFET BREAKFAST AT THE FAIRMONT GOLD LOUNGE
The semi-buffet breakfast at the Fairmont Gold Lounge consists of a buffet spread of continental items, including pastries, bread rolls, toasts, cheeses, cold cuts, salads, fruits, and cereals. There are also a couple of western hot dishes offered in the buffet spread.
In addition to the buffet spread, guests can also order dishes from the breakfast a la carte menu. All items from the breakfast a la carte menu are served freshly cooked, and guests can order unlimited servings of them. Coffee, tea and fruit juices are also included in the semi-buffet breakfast.

I only went once to the buffet spread to try some of the hot dishes. Above is the plate of meat dishes I got from the buffet. The portion is actually for two persons to share. Although fried rice and bread are available from the buffet, I opted to order Congee from the breakfast a la carte menu.

The rest of the time, we just ordered from the breakfast a la carte menu. The Pancakes were served freshly made from the kitchen. Warm and fluffy, the pancakes were generously topped with blueberry jam. I loved it that the jam was not too sweet.

The breakfast a la carte menu includes a variety of egg dishes that you can have customized to your preference. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and we requested it with ham instead of salmon. I love the presentation, and I was thankful it was served with hashbrown.

Another egg dish we ordered was the Spinach and Cheese Omelet. The saltiness and creaminess of the cheese helped to mask the bitterness of the spinach, making it really appetizing. This egg dish was again served with hashbrowns.

Fairmont Makati is known for its excellent quality French pastries. I wanted to try some of the viennoiseries from the buffet, but I was already full. And so I skipped the pastries and got myself a bowl of melons and honeydew instead. I also requested fresh orange juice to pair with the fruits.

Although the full breakfast buffet at Spectrum (all-day dining restaurant) offers more variety of food, I would still prefer the breakfast here at the Fairmont Gold Lounge. First of all, I find the Fairmont Gold Lounge to be less busy and less crowded than Spectrum.
Secondly, with just the right amount of food options, I don't tend to over-eat here at the lounge. Lastly, the level of service and attention to detail is much higher here at the lounge. As a bonus, the view from the Fairmont Gold Lounge is more pleasing.
