The Fairmont Gold Room is the highest Fairmont Gold level guestroom category of Fairmont Makati. Guests staying in a Fairmont Gold Room enjoy exclusive access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge where they enjoy complimentary business services and all-day refreshments.
The Fairmont Gold Room measures 40 square meters and is available in King Bed or Double Beds configurations. Guests can likewise choose between a room with a city view or a room with a pool view. The room has a classic luxury design with a warm-earthy color theme dominated by yellows and browns.
The Fairmont Gold Room is fitted with a work desk with an ergonomic chair. Wired and wireless high-speed internet is available inside the room and throughout the Fairmont Gold floor. Local calls (excluding mobile phone calls) are also complimentary for Fairmont Gold Room guests.
The minibar cabinet stores a mini-refrigerator stocked with premium beverages, including bottled juices, local and international beer, wine and spirits. There is also a Malongo coffee machine with complimentary coffee capsules provided every day. Guests are also provided with tea bags by Harney& Sons.
Complimentary bottled water, as well as the electronic water kettle, are also stored inside the minibar cabinet. Just call guest services should you need additional bottled water. During my stay, I asked for an additional four bottled water per day, at no extra charge.
The highlight of the Fairmont Gold Room is the Fairmont Bed by Stearns & Foster. The box spring mattress ensures the even spread of body weight and excellent body support while the pillow-top layer adjusts to the contours and natural sleeping posture of the body. Both the sheets and the duvet cover are made with 300 thread count, 100% cotton sateen fabric.
The Fairmont Gold Room has a rather compact yet functional bathroom. Two sides of the bathroom are lined with mirror to create an illusion of space. It has a single vanity with plenty of countertop space for your personal toiletries. The bathtub stands next to the vanity.
The water closet is fitted with a toilet and bidet while the walk-in shower has both hand-held and rain-fall showerheads. Water pressure was excellent and hot water was available almost instantaneously in the shower.
Rose 31 by Le Labo is the standard body and bath amenities in all Fairmont properties. The complete set includes body soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. Rose is the main scent of this line of amenities, but it also has hints of cumin and cedarwood. The floral-woody combination of the scent makes Rose 31 ideal for both men and women.
Other room amenities include bathrobes, his-and-her bedroom slippers. Iron and ironing board are stored inside the closet cabinet. There is also an electronic safe which can fit a laptop.
