Sheraton Manila Hotel » Family Room
The Deluxe Loft is a bi-level loft accommodation at Sheraton Manila Hotel. It measures 71 square meters and features a king bed on the first level, two double beds on the second level, and a bathroom on each level. A stay in the Deluxe Loft comes with complimentary access to the Sheraton Club Lounge for two persons.
Located at the foyer is the open-shelf closet where amenities such as an electronic safe, iron and ironing board, bathrobes, and bedroom slippers are to be found. The closet has enough space for two persons to store clothes for a 3-nights stay. Guests staying on the second level of the loft also have their own closet space.
Next to the closet is the minibar fully stocked with bottled juices, canned soda, and beer. There is also a coffee and tea making facility with complimentary bottled water, TWG teabags, and drip coffee replenished daily. Additional bottled water can be requested at no extra charge.
The bathroom on the first level features a single vanity with a decently spacious countertop. Towels are neatly folded and stacked on a rack under the sink. Next to the vanity is the toilet fitted with a bidet toilet seat.
The bathroom's wet area features a separate bathtub and shower. The shower area is fitted with a handheld showerhead and a rainfall showerhead. Hot and cold water is available. A sliding glass door separates the bathroom's wet area and dry area.
Guests staying at Sheraton Manila Hotel are provided with Le Grand Bain body and bath amenities. The refreshing citrus and lightly woody scent was exclusively designed by Ben Gorham of Byredo for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. The complete set includes a bath bar, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.
A seating area is located in the middle of the first level. There's a sofa that can seat two to three persons. You can also request one to two additional chairs and the hotel will be more than pleased to provide. The round table can function either as a dining table or as a work table.
This versatility allows guests to seamlessly transition from relaxation to dining, and to work, without leaving the comfort of the loft. Having said this, the Deluxe Loft perfectly fits the Sheraton brand's repositioning as the central gathering place of communities around the world.
The Deluxe Loft has a glass curtain wall that extends from the first level to the second level, allowing for plenty of natural light to brighten up the interior. The air-conditioning system, on the other hand, keeps the indoor temperature to a comfortable level of 18°C-23°C.
Similar to my sleep experience in the Deluxe Room of Sheraton Manila Hotel, I also had an equally restful sleep here in the Deluxe Loft. Thanks to the Sheraton signature bed which features a mattress that evenly supports the body, and to the plush bed topper that cushions the body.
Controls to the curtains and the lights are conveniently located on both sides of the bed. There is also a JBL Horizon Bluetooth Clock Radio which I connected to my smartphone to play my favorite music playlists. Universal power outlets are available next to the bed and throughout the loft.
In front of the bed is a 55-inch LG LED TV with local and international cable channels. It also an HDMI port to which you can connect your smartphone or Google Chromecast so you can watch Netflix or Youtube. Uninterrupted streaming is made possible by the complimentary wifi internet available inside the loft.
The second level of the loft also has a modern minimalist design. The use of whitewashed oak flooring and beige walls gives the space a residential feel. Space is smartly maximized to fit two double beds, a separate water closet, and a separate walk-in shower.
With its own 55-inch LED TV, guests staying on the second level of the loft can also channel surf or video stream by connecting their smartphone to the TV via HDMI. Parents can also connect a Nintendo Switch game console to the TV to keep their kids entertained while the parents relax downstairs.
The second level is also enclosed by a glass curtain wall which provides excellent soundproofing and temperature control. It is also an important safety feature of the loft to prevent guests, especially children, from accidentally falling from the second level to the first level.
The two double beds also feature the same Sheraton signature mattress that has the right balance of firmness for an even support of body weight, and of softness that adjusts to contours of the body. Controls to the curtains and lights are also located next to the bedside table.
The walk-in shower (left photo) is lined with white marble and is fitted with a handheld showerhead and a rainfall showerhead. A separate set of Le Grand Bain body and bath amenities are also provided. The water closet (right photo) features a single vanity and a toilet fitted with a bidet seat cover.
The Deluxe Loft is clearly designed to accommodate families or a small group of friends. The Deluxe Loft is perfect for families and friends on a leisure trip in Manila or a weekend staycation in the city. I would also recommend the Deluxe Loft as a venue for rest and relaxation or informal strat-planning session for a small group of three to four employees.
If you are staying alone or as a couple, it would be such a waste to book the Family Room. In your case, I would recommend a Club Deluxe Room or the more spacious Junior Suite, both of which also come with Sheraton Club Lounge access.
