The Breakfast Buffet at New World Makati Hotel is served daily from 06:00am to 10:00am at Café 1228, the main breakfast venue of the hotel. Guests who booked a breakfast-inclusive room rate can enjoy the daily breakfast buffet at the restaurant during their stay.
Guests with access to the Residence Club (those guests staying in Residence Club Deluxe Rooms or Suites) may also choose to have the breakfast buffet at Café 1228. The restaurant also welcomes walk-in guests to dine for breakfast.
The breakfast buffet features a wide selection of Western, Filipino, Chinese, and Japanese breakfast items. Free-flowing coffee, tea, and fresh fruit juices are also included. Here are some of the dishes we tried for breakfast during our most recent stay at New World Makati Hotel.
Café 1228 is one of the hotel buffet restaurants in Manila that serves the best and authentic tasting Cantonese dimsum. Whenever we dine here for breakfast, we always go for a round or two of their steamed pork dumplings (shumai) and steamed shrimp dumplings (har gow).
Café 1228 is also one of the very few hotel buffet restaurants in Manila that serve Singapore Laksa for breakfast. The broth tastes very authentic, rich in flavor, and thick in texture. There are plenty of choices for toppings as well.
Here is a selection of French pastries and Filipino rice cakes available from the buffet. Café 1228 serves some of the best viennoiseries in Manila. I particularly love their danish pastries.
The buffet includes a wide selection of Western dishes. This English breakfast plate includes sausages, cured ham, bacon, baked mushrooms, and potato wedges.
My breakfast is not complete without fresh-cut fruits. The fruits are chilled and sliced fresh at the Fruits Station. You can also have the fruits pressed or blended into fresh fruit juices and smoothies.

Bread & Pastries - freshly baked soft rolls, focaccia, banana bread, white bread, wheat bread, raisin bread, multigrain bread, brown bread, rye bread, sourdough, baguette, muffins, assorted danish pastries, cinnamon swirl, pain au chocolat, almond croissant, and plain croissant.
Pancakes & Waffles - have your pancakes and waffles customized with your choice of toppings: chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, almonds, walnut, assorted berries, and banana peanut butter.
Western Station - choices include bacon, homemade bacon, Italian sausage, pork bratwurst, baked vegetables.
Egg Station - there's pre-made scrambled eggs and hard-boiled eggs, but you can also order freshly cooked sunny-side-up eggs and omelets with your choice of ingredients (chopped tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, ham, and cheese).
Cold Cuts, Cheeses & Salads - Continental breakfast choices include assorted cured hams and premium cheeses. You can pair these with make-your-own fresh garden salad. Pre-mixed vegetable and fruit salads are also available.
Cereals & Yogurt - cornflakes, chocolate cereals, multi-grain, muesli, milk, soy milk, plain yogurt, and assorted fruit yogurt
Japanese Station - miso soup, Japanese steamed rice, tamagoyaki, onsen tamago, salted salmon, fishcakes, natto, assorted pickled vegetables.
Noodle Soup Station - choose your noodles (egg noodles or vermicelli), broth (chicken, beef, Singapore Laksa), vegetables (cabbage, carrot, beansprouts), meat (chicken, beef, shrimp), and fishcakes.
Rice Porridge & Dimsum - choose between congee (Chinese-style rice porridge) and arrozcaldo (Filipino-style chicken rice porridge) and customize with hardboiled eggs, century eggs, fried tofu, and scallions. Pair your rice porridge with shumai (steamed pork dumplings), har gow (steamed shrimp dumplings), and vegetable dumplings.
Filipino Station - local favorites are features in this station, for a typical Filipino breakfast, your plate must have garlic fried rice, fried egg, and your choice of fried meat dish such as pork or chicken adobo, marinated milkfish, marinated beef, local sausages, and sweet cured pork.
Fruit Station - local and imported fruits served fresh-cut or made into pressed fruit juice or blended into smoothies.
