The Larger Guest Room measures 70 square meters
The Larger Guest Room (formerly called Club Deluxe Room with Balcony) is one of the two guest room categories of Sheraton Manila Hotel. Guests can choose between a Larger Guest Room with a garden terrace and a Larger Guest Room with a balcony overlooking the hotel's swimming pool.
I stayed in Room 520, a Larger Guest Room with balcony which is furnished with a king bed, a spacious seating area, and an executive work desk. The sofa can comfortably seat three persons and comes with a multi-functional desk.
The work desk has generous surface space for your laptop and other devices, however, the glass surface makes it impossible to use a mouse. There are desk-level power outlets with universal sockets.
Complimentary Wi-Fi internet is available inside the room and fast enough to support Youtube and Netflix in HD. This is great news for business stay guests who need to make video conference calls via MS Teams or Zoom.
Behind the work desk is the glass door leading to the room's balcony where guests can enjoy an overlooking view of the hotel's swimming pool. The spacious balcony features a lounge sofa which is perfect for enjoying the cool breeze while sipping in a refreshing drink
Guests on extended stay will surely appreciate the benefits of having a balcony such as having an accessible space to breathe fresh air, a venue for morning yoga or exercises, and a place to air dry wet towels and clothes.
Similar to my sleep experience at Sheraton Kuta Bali Resort (Indonesia) and Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel (Malaysia), I also had an uninterrupted 8-hour sleep here at Sheraton Manila Hotel. Thanks to the Sheraton Signature Bed which is one of the main reasons why I choose to stay in a Sheraton.
The room is also equipped with a 55-inch Smart HDTV with local and international channels. You can also connect your mobile devices to the HDTV using an HDMI cable or wirelessly via screen mirroring. This allows you to watch Netflix or Youtube or play with your Nintendo Switch on the big screen.
Another nice feature of the room is the JBL Horizon Bluetooth Clock Radio which you can connect to your phone to listen to your Spotify playlist. Desk-level power and USB outlets are also available next to the bed.
Guests staying at Sheraton Manila Hotel are provided with premium teabags by Dilmah as well as drip coffee with locally sourced ground arabica coffee beans. Complimentary bottled water is also provided and replenished daily.
I requested a room without a bathtub as I rarely use one. My bathroom features a very spacious walk-in shower instead. It is fitted with rainfall and handheld showerheads and a toilet with a bidet seat. If you prefer a room with bathtub, make sure to request one upon check-in.
Le Grand Bain body and bath amenities are exclusively provided to guests staying at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. The complete set includes a bath bar, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The Le Grand Bain amenities are designed by Ben Gorham of Byredo, a luxury fragrance house based in Stockholm, Sweden.
