Hotel Suite with Modern Japanese Interior Design
The Nobu Suite is the only suite and is the highest accommodation category of Nobu Hotel Manila. The suite measures 68 square meters and has a separate bedroom, living room, a half-bath, and a full bathroom.
The Nobu Suite has a modern Japanese interior design. The pattern on the carpet is inspired by origami while the feature walls are decorated with hand-painted sakura. The living area has subdued lighting orchestrated by the Japanese lanterns.
When the sunlight hits the blinds, the pattern will cast shadows that resemble leaves. This creates an illusion of a Japanese home surrounded by bamboo trees. The mood is both tranquil and mysterious.
The living room is furnished with a three-seater sofa and a one-seater couch. In the middle is a Japanese-style low table that can serve as a coffee or dining table. While it is a bit uncomfortable sitting on the sofa while dining, I totally don't recommend sitting on the carpet either.
Located in the living area you will find a minibar stocked with assorted canned soda, beer, and juices. As a coffee lover, I also appreciate having a Nespresso machine inside the suite. Complimentary bottled water, coffee capsules, and Dilmah luxury leaf bags are generously provided.
Our room package included complimentary mini-bar which means we could consume all the drinks and snacks for free. The complimentary mini-bar, coffee capsules, and tea bags are replenished daily during the stay.
The living area is equipped with a 55-inch LED TV with local and international channels. We attached our Google Chromecast 4 to the TV which allowed us to watch videos on Youtube, Netflix, Discovery+, as if we were at home.
The complimentary wifi internet was among the fastest in Metro Manila, with speeds ranging between 60-80 Mbps. We were able to stream videos in Full HD. The speed is also more than enough to support video calls via MS Teams or Zoom.
The modern Japanese interior design extends to the bedroom featuring the same origami and sakura elements. The bedroom is located at the corner of the hotel tower with natural light flowing in from two sides of the room.
The Nobu Suite is furnished with a king bed with a mattress that evenly supports the weight and adjusts to curves of the body. The plush pillows provide both comfort and neck support. The in-room temperate is maintained between 20-22°C, further enhancing the sleep experience.
Power outlets with universal socket are available throughtout the suite, including desk-level outlets located next to the bed. The chair next to the window is perfect for watching the bedroom TV.
A black floating desk serves as the TV stand, as well as a work desk. There's extra surface space available for you to place your personal stuff. I also do find this desk a more comfortable option for dining.
There are two closet cabinets inside the bedroom. One is located next to the work desk, while another one is found at the end of the corridor that leads to the bathroom. There is more than enough space to hang clothes for a week-long stay.
Guests staying in the Nobu Suite are provided with a pair of his-and-her bathrobes and a pair of his-and-her yukatas (lounging kimono). His-and-her bedroom slippers are also found inside the cabinet.
Equally spacious is the ensuite bathroom which is divided into two sections, a dry area and a glass-door enclosed wet area. There is a single vanity with a generous countertop. Towels are neatly organized on the ladder towel rack.
The separate toilet is equipped with a remote-controlled TOTO washlet and heated toilet seat. A teak shower stool adds to the Japanese vibe of the bathroom. The wet area features a standing shower and a deep-soaking bathtub.
The water pressure was consistently strong during our stay and water was heated instantaneously. Bath amenities are provided by Natura Bissé, a Barcelona-based luxury skincare company.
The complete line of toiletries includes bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion in rosemary and white tea scent which are provided in pump bottles. Hand soaps are provided in the half-bath, as well as in the bathroom.
