The Valentine's High Tea at High Street Lounge is good for two persons and includes sparkling rosé, coffee, and tea. It is served from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and is available only until February 14, 2022. Tables are on a first-come first-served basis.
Two pieces of every item on the menu are served with the Valentine's High Tea set. Below are the choices for coffee and tea:
- Coffee (hot or cold): Americano, Macchiato, Double Espresso, Cappuccino, Caffè Latte, Cafe Frappe, Mochachino, Toffee Nut Latte
- Tea: English Breakfast, Jasmin Tea, Biluochun, Earl Grey, Black Tea with Osmanthus, Chamomile, Peppermint
The top tier includes savory items such as the Beetroot Marinated Gravlax on crostini with wasabi sour cream and dill leaves, the Caprese Bruchetta with bocconcini, tomato concasse, basil, and black pepper, the Cream Cheese & Cucumber Sandwich, and the Salami and Artichoke on toasted wheat bread with olive tapenade. All savory items went well with the sparkling rosé.
The middle tier includes cakes and pastries such as the Raspberry Profiterole, a cream puff filled with raspberry diplomat cream, the Classic Opera Cake, a French cake with layers of dark chocolate ganache, coffee butter cream, and almond dacquoise, the Raspberry Tea Cookies, a pâte sucrée cookie with dark chocolate ganache and raspberry jam, and The Heart, a dessert made of pecan sable topped with a heath-shaped raspberry mousse. I enjoyed these sweets with Caffè Latte.
The bottom tier includes the scones and two more cakes. The Valentine's high tea set features Blueberry Lemon Scones served with raspberry jam and cream which are best partnered with tea. Saving the best for last are the Strawberry Cream Cake, a strawberry shortcake topped with macerated strawberries, and the Razzle Cake Slice, with layers of raspberry vanilla mousse and red wine jelly.
