The Junior Suite is the lead-in suite category of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Boracay. It has a total floor area of 56 square meters and features a sleeping area, a sitting area, a balcony, and an en-suite bathroom.
Your arrival at the suite will be welcomed by the sitting area furnished with a two-seater sofa and an armchair with an ottoman at the corner. There is a small window that allows some natural light into the space.
The minibar is placed in the sitting area. The Junior Suite is provided with a coffee and tea-making facility, mugs, wine glasses, and complimentary bottled water. There is a mini-fridge inside the cabinet.
Complimentary Twinings tea bags as well instant coffee sachets are supplied and replenished daily. Just call customer service should you wish to request additional bottled water or a bucket of ice.
I was an Accor Plus Silver member during this stay. My welcome amenity included a platter of chocolates and macarons, as well as two welcome drink vouchers which I was able to use at the resort's Sol Marina Beach Club. I also received a small bottle of red wine on my arrival day.
A room divider separates the sitting area from the sleeping area. It effectively blocks the view from the sofa to the bed with enough gaps to allow some light to pass thru. A flatscreen TV is mounted on the divider facing the sleeping area.
There is a dedicated work desk located at one corner of the sleeping area. I was remotely working during this stay and I spent most of my afternoons here. The complimentary internet was fast enough to support calls via MS Teams. Desk-level universal power outlets are also available.
The Junior Suite is furnished with a king-size bed with four pillows were provided. The mattress is quite comfortable, with well-balanced firmness for back support and softness for a restful sleep. Universal power outlets are also available on both sides of the bed.
The Junior Suite has a private balcony which you can access from a sliding glass door next to the bed. We stayed in room C4301 during this visit and we had a view overlooking the swimming pool. Unfortunately, the tall trees block the view of the beach from our room.
There is a closet cabinet next to the bed. There is enough space to store clothes for a week-long stay. You can also find an electronic safe, an iron, an ironing board, bedroom slippers, and an umbrella inside the cabinet.
The Junior Suite has an open bathroom plan. As you can see, there is no door that separates the en-suite bathroom from the sleeping area. Having said this, I only recommend the Junior Suite for couples.
The bathroom is spacious with plenty of space to move around. It features double vanities with a double-wide mirror. There is also an oval freestanding tub. Towels are bathrobes are generously provided.
The bathroom has a separate water closet fitted with a toilet with bidet spray. The walk-in shower features a rainfall showerhead and a handheld showerhead. Water pressure was excellent and hot water was instantaneously available.
A vanity kit, a hygiene kit, a shower cap, a comb, a shaving kit, and two sets of dental kits are provided. Hand soap and lotion are also placed on the countertop.
Guests staying at Mövenpick Boracay are provided with Island Breeze branded bath amenities. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion. The products have a mild coconut scent that complements the tropical beach vibe of the resort.
