The Ministry of Health of Malaysia today announced on its official Twitter account the updated requirements for inbound travelers which will take effect on May 1, 2022. Below are the key updates:
Fully Vaccinated Passengers
- no longer required to take pre-departure and on-arrival Covid tests
- no longer required to quarantine
- COVID-19 insurance is no longer required
Partially Vaccinated / Unvaccinated Passengers
- required to take pre-departure and on-arrival Covid tests
- required to quarantine (5 days) if age is 18 years old and above
- COVID-19 insurance is no longer required
MySejahtera
- all inbound travelers are required to register and activate the MySejahtera contact tracing application
- submit you Overseat Vaccination Details via the Traveller icon (verification wil take five days)
- prior to your departure, complete the Travel Declaration via the Traveller icon and you will receive your Traveller’s Card
- present you Traveller’s Card upon arrival in Malaysia
