Merienda Cena is the new afternoon tea experience offered by Grand Hyatt Manila where you can enjoy unlimited servings of Filipino-inspired tea sandwiches and seafood cocktails, as well as scones, pithivier, and cakes. The afternoon tea comes with one round of coffee or tea.
The Merienda Cena will be available at The Lounge starting June 17, 2022 and will be offered every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:30pm to 6:00pm for only ₱1,500 nett per person. That is excellent value for money for a three-and-a-half-hour teatime. You can also upgrade your Merienda Cena experience to include free-flowing rosé wine for an additional ₱450 nett per person.

While Merienda Cena is on a first-come-first-served basis, the grandiose lounge can accommodate up to 80 guests with tables good for couples and groups. To ensure you get the best seats, I suggest you get there by 2:30pm.
The Merienda Cena will be served in a serviced buffet style where you can choose your sandwiches and cakes displayed in a refrigerated glass cabinet. A lounge attendant will then serve the items on your plate.
It may be tempting to be seated next to the buffet stations, but this area can get very busy during the Merienda Cena. For your convenience, it is best to be seated away from the buffet stations but not too far away.
The Live Station is another unique feature of Merienda Cena. Here, you can order dessert freshly made by the lounge attendants. Grand Hyatt Manila's French Pastry Chef Nicolas Vergnole supervises this section.

- Coffee or Tea - choice of brewed coffee, espresso-based beverages (hot or cold), loose leaf tea, or herbal tea
- Free-flowing Rosé Wine - they serve Lolea Sangria Rosé No. 5 (Spain) and Camille de Librie Rosé (France). I personally prefer the Lolea.
