The Executive Suite is one of the two suite categories of Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery. The other one is the Presidential Suite. The Executive Suite measures 70 square meters and has a separate living room and bedroom. We stayed in room 209 which is called the Lakan Executive Suite.
Living Room
When you first walk into the suite, you will be welcomed by the dining area. The table is smartly positioned so that guests can comfortably move around the space. The table is also multi-functional. It is primarily a dining table and also serves as a workstation. Wifi internet is available inside the suite.
A special welcome amenity was arranged for us being the first hotel guests to check in on its opening day. There's a platter of fresh fruits, assorted chocolate bonbons from El Atrio, as well as bottled cocktails from Admiral Club.
All rooms and suites at Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery are designed in contemporary Art Deco style and are decorated with Filipino accent pieces. The Executive Suites in particular have a different design theme per floor. This Lakan Executive Suite, for example, features Maranao wood carvings of sarimanok as well as brassware and native baskets.
Nespresso machine and TWG tea bags are provided in all rooms and suites at Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery. Complimentary drinking water is served in reusable glass bottles. Snacks and drinks are available inside the minibar.
The sitting area features a two-seater sofa, an armchair, and an ottoman. The 55-inch LED TV is equipped with a Bose soundbar and includes local and international channels, plus selected HD channels. You can also connect your smartphone to the soundbar so you can listen to your playlist inside the suite.
Consistent with the theme of the hotel, the sitting area is also filled with Art Deco design elements such as the gilded feature wall and chandelier while the okir wood carving matches the Maranao ornaments in the dining area. The Lakan Executive Suite has an available connecting room.
Bedroom
There are two sliding doors that lead to the bedroom from the living area. The bedroom is also designed in contemporary Art Deco style. Key design elements are the bedside tables, the bed's headboard, and the metal panels on the feature wall.
Desk-level universal wall power sockets are available on both sides of the bed. Switches to the lights are also located next to the sockets. The bedroom has its own LED TV and Bose sandbar. The bedroom and the living area are installed with remote-controlled curtains.
The sitting area next to the window is the perfect spot to watch the morning news or admire the sunset. There is a photograph of Maranao brassware displayed on the feature wall which I find unimpressive. A framed Maranao handwoven fabric would have been a more elegant choice of decor.
A walk-through wardrobe connects the bedroom to the ensuite bathroom. On one side is a luggage rack while on the opposite side is a storage cabinet. The iron and ironing board, as well as the electronic safe, are found here.
Ensuite Bathroom
The ensuite bathroom is the most elegant space inside the suite. The walls and the floor are lined with white marbles while fixtures are made of polished brass, including the faucets, showerheads, bidet, and towel hooks.
The contemporary Art Deco design is also expressed here. I love the geometric patterns on the floor, the seashell basins, the diamond-cut mirrors, and the fan-shaped wall lamps. The highlight is the bathtub with eagle claw feet.
The water pressure is fairly strong except during the busy hours in the morning and in the late evening. It also takes just a few seconds for hot water to start flowing from the shower and bathtub. Towels are provided generously. In line with reducing plastic waste, bathroom amenities are provided in pump bottles.
The Executive Suites are supplied with the Cinq Mondes brand, a Paris-based producer of spa products and fragrances. The complete set includes shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and body lotion under the Rituel de Bahia line of products which feature the revitalizing fragrance of lime, white cedarwood, and coconut water.
Sleep Experience
I had an excellent sleep experience here at Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery, one of the best ones for Metro Manila staycations. The mattress has a balanced firmness and softness that evenly supports your body. The plush pillows add to the relaxing sleep experience. The air-condition also functioned well during our stay.
