Mizu is the specialty Japanese restaurant of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino that serves a wide selection of classic Japanese dishes including sushi, sashimi, maki, yakimono (grilled dishes), agemono (fried dishes), teppanyaki, menrui (noodles), gohanmono (rice dishes), and nabemono (hot pot).

Dining Area
Mizu's main dining area has tables that can seat solo diners, couples, and groups of up to four persons. Tables can also be combined to accommodate bigger groups. There are also seats available at the sushi bar.
Mizu also has private dining rooms which can comfortably seat up to six persons. These private dining rooms are perfect for business lunches with visiting clients or for special family gatherings.
From the A La Carte Menu
Rainbow Roll are assorted maki rolls made with strips of salmon, tuna, kani, ika, ebi, mackerel, and cucumber. Waterfront Roll are maki rolls stuffed with salmon, mango, cucumber, and cheese, and then coated with fish roe.
Nankin Manjyu (南京まんじゅう) - This signature appetizer by Chef Ken Imamura is a bun made with pumpkin puree stuffed with imported scallop and asparagus. The bun is then steamed and coated with rice puffs and finally fried until golden brown.
Changko Nabe (ちゃんこ鍋) - This is the signature hotpot dish of Chef Ken Imamura. It is made with chicken, enoki mushroom, tofu, harusame, egg, and fried bean curd. This is also known as sumo stew because it is commonly eaten by sumo wrestlers.
Ebi Tempura (エビ 天ぷら) - A Japanese meal is not complete without shrimp tempura. The shrimps were juicy and tasted sweet while the tempura coating was super crispy, not oily, and not starchy.
Gindara Miso-yaki (ぎんだら味噌焼き) - Codfish is marinated in miso and then grilled. The melted fat of the codfish will make the meat very tender, juicy, and buttery while the caramelized miso paste gave the fish a sweet and salty glaze.
U.S. Beef Steak - U.S. Beef Tenderloin grilled to your preferred doneness and then served on a bed of sizzling vegetables. We had ours served medium-rare. The beef was tender and the sauce enhanced the umami of the beef.
Tempura Ice Cream - Frozen vanilla ice cream is coated with pastry and then deep-fried until golden brown. The pastry was crispy while the ice cream remained frozen. I love the contrast in texture and temperature.
Signature Iced Tea - I had the signature iced tea during my visit. Other choices of drinks include fruit juices, soda, coffee, and tea.
Sake - For a complete Japanese dining experience, make sure to order sake. You can have it either warm or cold. The restaurant's staff will be able to recommend which sake to pair with your food. We had the cold version of the sake.
