Highlights & Must-Try Dishes
Below are the dishes that you shouldn't miss during the Dinner Buffet at 5 Cien Restaurant. Do note that some items are part of the rotation menu and may not be available on your day of visit.
- Cold Seafood - go for the prawns, mussels, and scallops, best enjoyed cold and with dipping sauces
- Sashimi & Ceviche - made with the freshest tuna and salmon

Sample Plates
I started my dinner buffet with this bowl of Tom Yum. I had it with egg noodles plus mushrooms, crab cakes, fish balls, and strips of chicken breast. The clear tom yum soup was mildly spicy and sour, making it a perfect starter. I also love the attention given to the presentation.
This plate includes an assortment of Cantonese roast meats, including roast duck, soy chicken, and pork char siu. I also had a portion of bok choy sauteed with garlic and fried tofu. All tasted very authentic.
Here is a plate of Japanese items from the buffet. The shrimp tempura was very tender and tasted very fresh and sweet. The assorted sushi had well-balanced saltiness and sweetness while the salmon sashimi had a buttery umami taste.
Here are some items I tried from the cold seafood station. I had prawns, mussels, and scallops. All were cooked perfectly so that the meat did not become tough or rubbery. They also had a mild salty taste.
Here is a serving of aglio olio spaghetti topped with grilled prawns. I requested the pasta to be slightly spicy so it will go well with the garlicky prawns.
Here are two slices of the beef tenderloin steak from the carving station. I had it medium-well and added mashed potato and grilled vegetables on the side. The steak was available as medium-rare, medium, medium-well, and well done.
For dessert, I specifically chose the matcha tiramisu because I love both. I like the combination of the bitterness from the matcha and the espresso. I also had a slice of cheesecake topped with sweet mango.
