The Junior Suite is one of the four suite categories of Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort. It measures 96 square meters, slightly larger than the Honeymoon Suite (90sqm) and almost twice larger than the Guest Room (50sqm).
I stayed in Junior Suite 1021 during this visit. It has a separate bedroom and living room, an en suite bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a washroom. The Junior Suite has a balcony that can be accessed from the bedroom and from the living room.
All Junior Suites here at Sheraton Cebu Mactan feature a balcony that faces the sea. The balcony's orientation also allows guests to enjoy the sunrise.
Here is the view of the resort and of the beach from the balcony. The neighboring Olango Island is visible from here on a clear day.
Back inside the suite, the living room has a seating area that can host up to five persons. This is perfect when you book a junior suite with a connecting guestroom. The living room is equipped with a 50-inch LED TV with local and international channels, including premium HD channels. The minibar is also found here.
There is also a dedicated dining area in the living room. The table can seat up to four people. This will also serve as your workstation if you are here in Mactan for a business trip. Power outlets are available on the wall next to the dining table.
The Junior Suite is equipped with a Nespresso machine and an electric kettle. Complimentary bottled water, Nespresso capsules, Dilmah tea bags, and drip coffee are provided and replenished daily.
Minibar snacks on offer include local dark chocolates from Zamboanga, dried mangoes, and turones de kasuy from Cebu. Canned soda, beer, still, and sparkling water are also available inside the mini refrigerator.
There are two sliding doors that connect the living room to the bedroom. Leaving these doors open will allow you to move freely around the suite.
You can close the sliding doors if privacy is required, let's say when you are entertaining visitors in the living area. There is likewise a separate washroom located next to the entrance door of the suite.
The bedroom is furnished with a king bed, a bench, a chaise lounge, and a coffee table. On either side of the bed are two nightstands with a desk-level USB charging port and a universal wall socket. Controls to the lights are also found here.
The bedroom has its own 50-inch LED TV with all the channels available in the living room. There's also a JBL Horizon 2 Bluetooth clock radio speaker. As always, the Sheraton Signature Bed ensured I got a restful sleep.
The ensuite bathroom is accessible from the bedroom and the main entrance door. It has a double vanity, a separate walk-in shower, and separate water closet, and a free-standing soaking tub. The toilet is fitted with a bidet seat cover.
The walk-in shower features a rainfall shower mounted on the ceiling and a handheld shower mounted on the wall. There is a shower bench for a comfortable seated shower experience. Water pressure was consistently strong during my stay.
All guestrooms and suites are provided with Warm Oak body and bath amenities by the New Jersey-based Gilchrist & Soames. Pump bottles containing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are mounted on the wall next to the handheld shower.
The Junior Suite has a walk-in closet that connects the main entrance to the bathroom. This side of the closet has space to hang clothes and drawers to store folded garments. The in-room safe was big enough to fit a laptop.
The opposite side has a spacious rack to spread out your luggage. There's even more hanging space for clothes here enough for a week-long stay. The iron and ironing board are also stored here.
Overall, I super enjoyed our stay in this Junior Suite. I highly recommend this for couples, honeymooners, and for small families. For solo travelers, I recommend the Guestroom category.
