SugarSand is a beach club located on Jalan Double Six along Bali's Seminyak Beach. It features an infinity pool, a restaurant, a bar, as well as event spaces. SugarSand forms part of Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach and is open to both in-house and walk-in guests.
SugarSand is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It serves Western cuisine and local seafood which are best paired with SugarSand's creative cocktails. SugarSand is also an excellent spot to lounge and watch the Seminyak Sunset.

Bar & Restaurant
SugarSand's bar and main dining area are located on the ground floor next to the swimming pool. The bar area serves as the centerpiece of SugarSand highlighted by the colorful mural created by local Balinese artists.
If you are here for drinks, seat at the bar area and watch SugarSand's bartenders make your cocktail in front of you. You can also enjoy ice-cold beer here while having a chat with the bartenders.
In front of the bar is a dining area with tables that can accommodate solo diners, couples, and groups of various sizes. There is a semi-private section that is ideal for more intimate gatherings.
These sunken seating areas are the perfect spot to watch the Seminyak sunset. The surrounding infinity pool visually connects the diners to the sea.
All guests, including in-house and walk-in guests, can enjoy all the facilities and amenities of SugarSand, including the infinity pool, shower area, and towels. Poolside daybeds are also available for a minimum spend requirement.
Here's another al fresco dining area located near the poolside day beds. Behind is an indoor dining area which is also available for private functions. The staff here at SugarSand was friendly and very attentive. Overall, the dining service was excellent.
Food & Drinks
SugarSand's food menu features mostly Western dishes with a strong focus on local seafood and Australian beef. The beverage menu includes signature cocktails, slow-infused G&T, and a wide selection of gin, rum, whiskey, and vodka available by the shot or by the bottle.
We ordered the cocktails recommended to us by the staff. On the left is the Lychee Julep, a spiced rum-based cocktail with lychee, lemongrass, and kafir lime leaf. On the right is Pineapple Passion, an aged rum-based cocktail mixed with fresh pineapple and lime.
The Chili Chicken Wings had a very crispy crust while the meat was moist and tender. It had a very rich umami taste and a fragrant aroma. The nanban dipping sauce had a well-balanced saltiness, sweetness, and tartness that brightened up the taste of the chicken wings.
Here is the Roast Octopus - with black onion puree, kombu chimichurri, and bronze fennel. The octopus was very tender and it was well flavored by the kombu chimichurri. The black onion puree had a mildly sweet taste that balances out the saltiness of the chimichurri. The sliced almonds added a contrasting texture.
The Chifa Fried Rice is inspired by the Chinese-Peruvian (Chifa) fried rice dish called chaufa and is served with soy-glazed pork belly and soybean crackers. This is already a complete meal on its own. This is my personal favorite.
The BBQ King Prawns are made with fresh local prawns that are grilled with butter and topped with herbed macadamia nut dressing. On the side is mentaiko aioli dip that will boost the umami of the prawns. This dish is full of flavor and best partnered with the refreshing salad on the side.
We had Green Tea Tiramisu for dessert. It's very creamy because it was made with mascarpone cheese. The flavor comes from green tea combined with local Balinese coffee. I paired this dessert with flat white.
SugarSand accepts cash, credit card, and debit card payments. Guests staying at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach may also charge their SugarSand bill to their hotel guest account.
