A La Carte Dining and Full Course Dinner
You may choose to order from the a la carte menu which features dishes that are good for sharing. If you are dining as a group, you may also request for a full-course dinner and the in-house chef will gladly create one for you. During our visit, we had a 5-course dinner that showcases some of the specialty dishes of Forno Osteria.
First to be served was this Cream of Broccoli Soup. It comes with croutons and sprinkled with parsley. It was cooked with Parmesan cheese which added umami to the creamy, mildly-sweet taste of the soup.
The next dish served to us was this Insalata Caprese. At the centerpiece is a homemade burrata served on a bed of lettuce, mozzarella crema, tomato concassé, and parmesan crisp. The salad is drizzled with aged balsamic and served with fresh tomatoes and basil.
We had Raviolo Aperto con Funghi as our third course. These open-faced ravioli are filled with sauteed wild mushrooms with truffle oil and parmesan cheese. The dish is finally topped with a cream sauce.
Costata di Manzo was served as our main course. This Josper grilled rib-eye comes with grilled vegetables and homemade steak sauce on the side. I had my steak cooked medium-well. The meat had a smokey outer layer and a juicy core.
We paired our steak with their house wine. We chose the Malbec from Rincón del Sol (Mendoza, Argentina). It was a dry red wine with fruity notes.
Last to be served was Soufflé al Cioccolato for our dessert. This is a chocolate fondant cake stuffed with warm molten chocolate. It is served with vanilla ice cream on the side. Great contrast of sweet-cold ice cream and warm-bitter dark chocolate.
