Alila Seminyak is a five-star boutique resort located along Seminyak Beach, on the southwestern coast of Bali, Indonesia. The resort features 176 guestrooms and suites, five swimming pools, a beachfront restaurant, a beach club, a fitness center, and a spa. Guests staying at Alila Seminyak enjoy direct access to the beach.
Alila Seminyak opened in October 2015 as the fourth Alila property in Bali. The resort became part of the Hyatt group when its parent company, Two Roads Hospitality, was acquired by Hyatt in 2018.
The Alila luxury hotel brand is part of Hyatt's Boundless Collection. The brand is present in 18 destinations around the world with contemporary boutique hotels and resorts that combine traditional materials and design elements inspired by the local culture. "Alila" is a Sanskrit word that means "surprise."
Guests arriving will be welcomed by the resort's spacious reception area. This public space serves as a common meeting place for guests and visitors. All rooms, restaurants, and guest facilities are accessible from here.
The lounges and sofas provide comfortable seated check-in and check-out experience to guests. This is also the best spot to relax while waiting for your room to be ready. Standard check-in time is at 3:00pm while check-out is at 12:00 noon.

The Deluxe Room at Alila Seminyak measures 46 square meters and is furnished with a king-size bed. This room is located on the third floor and features a private balcony overlooking the pool and a partial view of Seminyak Beach in the background.
Dining Options
Alila Seminyak has two in-house restaurants offering international and local Indonesian cuisines. Both restaurants are located in the resort's beachfront area.

Seasalt Restaurant
Seasalt Restaurant is the all-day dining restaurant of Alila Seminyak. Located on a beach-facing deck, Seasalt is a popular coastal dining venue in Seminyak that specializes in Western, Pan-Asian, and Indonesian specialties made with locally sourced fresh seafood. Read more ►
Beach Bar
Beach Bar is the beach club and pool bar of Alila Seminyak. Beach Bar features a swimming pool set on a beachside deck with sun loungers, daybeds, and couches. Beach Bar serves cocktails and wines paired with Mediterranean tapas and barbecues. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Read more ►
Breakfast Buffet at Alila Seminyak
Breakfast Buffet is served here at Seasalt Restaurant from 7:00am to 11:00am. Diners can order unlimited servings from a tabletop menu, including egg dishes, breakfast sandwiches, and Indonesian breakfast specialties. There is also a buffet spread featuring Continental, Western, and Indonesian fare. Free-flowing juices, coffee, and tea are also included. Read more ►
Swimming Pools
Alila Seminyak has a total of four swimming pools, all accessible from the main lobby. This is quite generous for a resort with only 176 rooms. There is a fifth swimming pool exclusively available to guests staying in the Alila Penthouse.
The resort's main swimming pool is facing the beach and is located right next to Beach Bar. It is open to all in-house guests as well as to guests dining at Beach Bar. Sun loungers and bean bags are available here.
Guests using the main swimming pool also enjoy direct access to the beach. Drinks and snacks can also be ordered here from Beach Bar.
There are two infinity pools accessible from the lobby level. These pools are available to in-house guests only.
The two infinity pools overlook the main swimming pool and offer panoramic views of the sea. Sun loungers are available here.
The fourth swimming pool is located in a separate wing where the Deluxe Rooms are located. This swimming pool is also available to in-house guests only.
Seminyak Beach
Alila Seminyak is located along Seminyak Beach. This area on the southwestern coast of Bali is lined with resorts and beach clubs and is a popular destination for surfing. Seminyak Beach is a public beach.
In the afternoon, Seminyak Beach is a favorite spot for tourists and locals to watch the sunset. You will also see a lot of people walking their dogs here.
Transportation
Alila Seminyak is located around 13 kilometers from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the main domestic and international gateway for travelers to Bali, Indonesia.
- Airport Transfer - If you don't have a pre-arranged airport transfer provider, I recommend that you use the GRAB ride-hailing service. GRAB has a welcome lounge located in the arrival area. They will book the ride for you. Payment is in cash. Fare ranges between IDR200,000 to IDR300,000 depending on the type of GrabCar you selected and the time of booking. Travel time is around 30 minutes. You will be dropped off at the resort's main lobby.
- Private Transport Service - You can also pre-arrange your airport transfer with a third-party transport service provider. Airport pick-up should be booked at least 24 hours in advance. You can contact Mr. Komang Wirawan of WP Bali Driver Tour and Service at +62 812-3710-1901 (WhatsApp)
- Moving Around - I also recommend using the GRAB ride-hailing app when traveling around Seminyak, Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Jimbaran, and Canggu. You can approach the resort's concierge for assistance with the app.
