Sample Dishes
A meal at Chaat comes with a complimentary serving of Papadum. These crackers can serve as an appetizer, usually dipped in chutney, or as a side dish that adds a crunchy texture to a main course.
Achari Paneer Tikka served here at Chaat is made with fresh chunks of paneer (Indian cottage cheese) marinated and coated in a spicy pickled apple and apricot marinade and grilled until charred and caramelized.
Malabar Fish Curry is a Keralan curry made with fish cooked in a coconut-based curry enriched with turmeric, ginger, tamarind, and curry leaves. This is best paired with steamed Basmati rice or naan.
Naan is available in three versions: plain naan, garlic naan, or buttered naan. We ordered the buttered naan and paired it with Malabar Fish Curry.
Strawberry Kulfi is a traditional Indian ice cream with strawberry. Chaat serves this on a bed of saffron rabdi (sweetened milk) with falooda (sweet vermicelli).
I ended my meal with Masala Chai, a sweetened black-tea beverage mixed with various aromatic spices.
